Title: IP-Bus and XM Radio Station / Artist / Song Text Decoding
Post by: Alanax on 21 Jan 2005, 09:24
I am a university student working on my senior project -- an IC with small LCD to display XM station / artist / song text for non-XM-ready factory stereos, designed to operate on the IP-Bus.

I would appriciate any additional information about pioneer IP-Bus protocol.  I would especially appriciate any help as to where in IP-Bus packets I might find the XM text information I am looking for (station, artist, song).  The XM Tuner I am using for the project is the Pioneer GEX-P910XM.

The information I currently have is limited to the diescription of the IP-Bus found at http://www.mictronics.de/?page=cdc_proto#Pioneer along with a simple pin-out diagram of the blue IP-Bus cable.  I would be VERY greatful for any other detailed information you can offer to help me get started on this project -- I only have 3 months to engineer a working product!

Does anyone have any helpful IP-Bus information they would be willing to share?  :?:

Thanks so much!  :D

I would recommend urgently to change the subject of the project. Three months, from my point of view it is not enough!  :(
