I think your schematic is wrong in a 2nd place, TX from pc needs to be connected to pin13 of MAX232, and not pin14 RX from pc needs to be connected to pin14 of MAX232 instead of pin13

Concerning the IPOD and the pioneer IPOD interface CD-IB100; Some people say that this interface is very slow and it is hard to navigate through the menus of the IPOD with the HU buttons.
My question, - Is there someone which has experience with this CD-IB100? - Is this interface really slow or is it the IPOD which reacts slow on the HU commands? - Is this slow communication solved when using the 3rd/4th generation IPOD? - When the IPOD is connected to the HU, does it behave like a Pioneer CD-changer? - Does it display the ID3-tags on your head-unit? (including scrolling)
I hope someone can answer me. I like the Vitat-hardware-interface but I have no spare time to build this interface myself.
Did someone succeeded "connecting" WinAmp to a pioneer HU using Vitat's ip-bus interface hardware???
If so, can you post then some pictures (HU + interface hardware with connection to PC which is running winamp) and maybe the plugin for WinAmp? (including the source code)
Is there somone who succeeded to create a WinAMP plugin that communicates with the Pioneer Head Unit?
So the head unit controls WinAMP (play, next track, previous track stop, end so on). And WinAMP sends the current playing MP3-track information to the head unit (The ID3-tag information)?
Ofcourse this communication will take place with Vitat's IP-bus interface hardware elsewhere on this forum.
isn't there any fancy solution, perhaps someone opened a cd-changer to see which chip is inside there. this is a kind of work around....
A long time ago I saw a snapshot of a schematic of a pioneer radio with IP-bus connection. I found this schematic somewhere in the yahoo groups ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ipbus ). Pioneer uses an IP-bus driver with type number CA0008AN.
