I think it is a good thing to simplify the hardrware by using the HA12187FP (or something equal) IP bus driver instead of the PCA82C250. See http://www.vitat.spb.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?t=49 Then the LM339 can be removed. Further more, the MAX202CSE can be replaced by a MAX233. The MAX 233 does not need any capacitors. I do not know if with these hardware changes, the firmware needs to be changed? I think the firmware does support everything we need. What I am still looking for is a plug in for Winamp to provide the information to the interface. Like artist name and song name that can be read out of the (MP3) ID3 tagges? And ofcourse it needs to controll the mp3's that are in the playlist of winamp.... Further more I think this interface is great!! If I had some more time (like in my student period)........ Thanks Vitat and the rest of the forum members. Grz, Dave Title: Re: What do you want to see in next ver? Post by: DdJ on 28 May 2004, 11:12 The guest above was me.... forgotten to log in.

I can't find elsewhere HA12187FP driver and can't test code for this driver. :(Quote from: DdJ Further more, the MAX202CSE can be replaced by a MAX233. The MAX 233 does not need any capacitors. Ok. But MAX202 price is 3$ when MAX233 price is 13$.Quote from: DdJ I do not know if with these hardware changes, the firmware needs to be changed? For MAX233 - nothing need to change.Quote from: DdJ I think the firmware does support everything we need.
