I am very interested in buying this if it is possible? Or only is it only a DIY kit? I know you can buy several Pioneer Ip-Bus cd changer emulators from China now, Yatour is one brand but i am interested to see what else there is.

Hi, I need to make a selector/switch for a 2 into 1 input for Pioneer IP-Bus so i can switch between 2 devices/line in's. If i just parallel connected each of the 11 pins i think there would be confusion and problems with one device back feeding information into the other one so i need a way to chose one or the other. The simplest way i can think of to do it is with relays, solid state/optocoupler type i think such as ones in small DIP-8 package. From what i can see pin 4 is never used so i need 10 relays in change over form C type to switch over each line in the IP-bus.

My issue is that i don't know what voltages and amp ratings i am working with through the IP-Bus. Basic general searching seems to suggest its only 'data' and in mA range but i would like some more solid confirmation/specs on that because Google AI results can not always be trusted to be correct. I can find little micro SSR's that can handle 1000mA i think but i am not sure if that is enough. Most handle much less current that than like 200-500ma. I don't want to use mechanical relays really because  they may be slower and less reliable for switching data lines? But if people think its ok then i could just easily use 5 or 10amp Automotive relays which would be plenty high enough rated and i don't need to find out the true specs of the IP-Bus. Also mechanical relays are bigger and noisy. It would be nice to get everything into a box 100x100mm or less and with mechanical relays they probably wont be possible.

Also it would be good if there could be a way to automatically trigger the switching box to change inputs but if i have to use a little toggle or push button switch to trigger it then that's ok. As far as i know AUX on/off setting in HU just turns on the AUX L/R audio input  and is nothing to do with turning on  external devices like the CD changer or other Ip-bus devices Pioneer sold which are 'external devices' and auto turn on them selves? the head unit knows when they are connected and will turn them on.
But i am wondering, if the AUX/On on setting in the HU could be used to send a signal to trigger my IP-Bus line relay witching box?

I have been searching around on the web for IP-Bus info and found this site and i think there are people here wo are very knowledgeable on the Pioneer IP Bus specs and may know the information i am looking for.
