Hi.
I've read this forum from A to Z and didn't find any report of successfull interfacing IP-Bus with PIC microcontrollers. I have a plan to make IP-Bus ->iPOD adapter on low profile PIC controller (12c series, 8 pin). My only problem is -- lack of centralized documentation of the IP-Bus protocol. Please help me to help you. Let's make the PIC port and enjoy the simplicity of the solution. BTW -- What about using MAX485 as IP-Bus HW interface? Will it work?
Thanks.

Small update -
  • Got basic IPBus communication on PIC.
  • Got basic communication with iPOD.
  • When connected and selected (by aux button) HU shows iPOD's name

are you running the standard ipod software or the uClinux code?

were you successful using the MAx485 for the differential drive?

I have a friend interested in Ipods, and i like playing with IPbus.. might be time to mix Wink
