when i connect Multi-CD emulator to pioneer its says ready and then start display time format for sound track but nothing happens

do i have to use yampp_pioneer_v2.2 firmware  in Yampp3/USB ?
or it still can work with players Yampp3/USB original firmware?

Multi-CD emulator works with yampp_pioneer firmware only!
This firmware works with FAT32 only!

Yes.
Change some settings in Constant.h and makefile files for yampp3/USB board and recompile the code.

I think that you have problem communication between HU and emulator.
Some questions...
1. What type of comparator you are using? (internal, external).
2. Do you put resistor 10k between plus line of IP-Bus and ground?
3. How long IP-Bus cable you are using?

here is information that you would like to know
if you have more questions just ask me.

im using exact circuit as u put in your web page.with ATMega8
i have comparitor as lm339 and pca82c250 i think it uses 10k to connect bus+ with ground

and my cable is very short its about 7 inches

*** but im not using max202 because im connecting emulater and player directly is this a problem?

thanks for taking trouble.

Test your emulator.
Add max202. Upload firmware with log option on. Connect emulator to COM port on PC. Open any terminal program.
Connect to HU and look. Errors must be minimum!

hi Vitat,

i have tryed as you said.add max202 connect to pc .

* i have note some thing ,
when i enable log option, each time i on the controler it will say ready, after it plays half a second on song and stop.
after that log says cd error and keep giving text.

* when i have disable log function

each time i on the controler function it will not turn on, some times it will play without problem, some times screen disaers.
but when it run (properly) it gives correct commands to player such as S,s n N Etc as expect (i read this in forum)

cd error - you have problem in communication with HU. Or crystal is not 14,7456Mhz.
1. You can try put another resistor R6 10K. ( http://www.vitat.spb.ru/files/ip-bus/sch_mega.gif ) Try 5K, 15K. May be it help you.
2. Put correct crystal.
3. Try to adapting timings in file links.c

Not understand. Have you 14,7456 or not?
Cylinder type mini crystal have greater tolerance usually.
if you remember any thing let me know i will that too.
What version of firmware you are using?

hi vitat

sorry about my English,

i have a normal (not cylinder type one, i bought another one) 14,745Mhz crystal right now

but it was delivered on plastic package on mail, that packaging was marked as 14,745600Mhz

im dont know wether that crystal is 14,745Mhz or 14,7456Mhz(which required for emulater)

and also im using____________

firmware for Multi-CD emulator is  ipbus_v4.0
 firmware for Yampp3/USB is yampp_pioneer_v2.2

thanks vitat

Maybe your crystal is slowly then 14,745600MHz.

Try in file link.c in function read_acknowledge (bottom function in file) change
if (time > 5) return false;
to
if (time > 4) return false;

And more. In this file you can see lines like this:
delay1(32);   //28-37

32 - it's delay ~32us
//28-37 - my emulator worked with my HU with this delays. I set middle value.
You can try to cnahge in file this delays values to any from 28 to 37. If crystal is swlowly - try smaller value.

hi Vitat,

thanks for helping me out to for my emulater.

i have chaged the values as you said but, but things dont work.

i have told, if i enable LOG, each time i press the  cd controler it starts to play half a second and stop.

what i did, i have commented the printing lines to terminal in side LOG definition

now things works, but i cant see file name(HU support text) and also  FForward and FRewind works only for only 10 seconds

i guess thats ok, importaintly i can see the running track time folder number and track number and disk +/- button and track +/- button also working

i have a very important exam in early April, till then i will put HU back to my car and i will connect player.
after april i will start my unfinished business.

Thanks again Vitat for making my emulater work
also i will post some pictures of my emulater and player ASAP
