IP-bus and Ipod

Hi.
This is my first posting here. I'm looking forward to learn a lot. First of all, apologies if I'm competely repeating something which may have already been addressed here or if my topic is completely beyond the scope of this forum.
In the press, there has been announcements about the accessories enabling you to connect iPod next to HUs, like "ice>Link v1.1 for iPod". Pioneer just announced their plans in rolling out the same concept for their caraudio units. See below:
"iPod (TM) Adapter Ready
Not only is it built with downloaded music in mind but this deck will also work the Pioneer iPod (TM) Adapter (CD-IB100) we will be introducing this spring."
Anyway, I haven't found any commercial ones yet that I could buy today - especially to hookup iPod and Pioneer together.
That led me googling and found eventually this forum, which I found very interesting.
Finally to my question:
QUESTION: Has anybody here investigated IP-Bus <--> iPod connectivity, I guess we could talk about IP-Bus <-->firewire interface. Any HW links utilizing e.g. FPGAs/CPLDs for such a interface.
